Idlewild started singing at Maverick, a college bar. The group used to sell their tapes out of their van in the school parking lot. The members of Idlewild were friends in college. The lead singer used to fall asleep with the radioplaying as a teenager.
Idlewild was discovered after single was played on B97.5. Idlewild’s first album failed to sell, but the second album saved them from obscurity.
The band may have recently completed their new release, but they are already planning their next move. Idlewild intends to take some time off after the tour, allowing the group members to work on side projects.
Often times critics will praise Idlewild for their ability to rile up the audience during concerts. A music critic from Cincinnati, Ethan Teisberg, has always been impressed with band’s terrific bassist.
