Iglu Tickets
The members of Iglu met in 1986. The group used to sell their records out of their van at the local music store. Iglu began playing at Bandit, a local club. The lead singer used to listen to his mother's music constantly as a teenager.
Iglu’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going gold. The band no longer has any problem selling out a show. Iglu met with a local DJ from Q89.9 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. The band played for years atdive bars making almost no money.
Iglu knew that they were real working musicians as soon as the band’s first fan club was started by Barbara Anderson in 1992. Starting out with just a few dozen members in New York, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Kathleen Lordi.
Iglu intends to take some time off after the tour, to allow the band members to work on individual projects. The group is in the middle of the tour accompanying for their new record. The new release from Iglu has been heavily influenced by bands of the '70s.
