Im From Barcelona’s members were friends in college. The bassist use to listen to CDs constantly as a child. Im From Barcelona began playing at Beach, a college dive bar. The group had their friends call into the local radio station to play their first release.

Im From Barcelona's new project has taken the band in a quite different direction, going back to basics. The band recently completed their new record, and they are already planning the next release.

Im From Barcelona’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going platinum. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they began. Im From Barcelona was offered a record contract after their single was heard on B98.1. The group members were relieved to have the opportunity to make an album and quit their day jobs that supported them while they worked hard at night to make their dreams happen.

Im From Barcelona knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true as soon as the band’s first fan club was started in 1999 by Pamela Yeubanks. After playing country wide, the band’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around Miami to thousands in every city throughout the country.
