J. Biscuit started playing at the local club Retort. The group was influenced by Kiss. The members of J. Biscuit met in college. The drummerdiscovered his love of music by listening to his grandfather's music collection.

J. Biscuit were unsure about their music careers with the release of their debut album, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio. submitted their single to Q91.9 and a DJ took a liking to it.

J. Biscuit accepted that they were real working musicians when the band’s first fan club was started by Lisa Vanderhoff in 1975. After starting out with a handful of members in Louisville, the club took off exponentially, growing to over two thousand in just a few months.

The most current release from J. Biscuit took nine months to record. The band just finished their new release, but they are already thinking of their next move. J. Biscuit's members hope to team up with other artists while they are on tour.
