Jack Penate began performing at the college bar Fan. The band requested that the local radio station to play their tracks. Jack Penate’s members met in grade school. The guitarist was heavily influenced by his sister's love for music.
Jack Penate was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on K92.5. The band played for years atsmall festivals making almost no money. Jack Penate were sure that they would make it after signing the record deal. They had heard stories of others still failing, but were sure they would be one of those bands.
Jack Penate accepted they had finally made it as soon as the band’s first fan club was started by Mandy Klinger in 1984. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Jessica Gremillion and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
After this past non-stop year the members of Jack Penate will spend some time apart to work on other projects. The group just completed their most current record, and they are plotting their next move already.
Generally critics will commend Jack Penate for their playfulness with the crowd when they perform live. Russ Gasteyer, a music critic from Jacksonville, has always been impressed with group’s terrific vocals. Jack Penate’s newest release is receiving amazing reviews from David Rastetter, a music critic out of Atlanta, and Irwin Yeubanks, from Champaign.
The group has an obsession with Beach in Biloxi and are sure to play a show every year. Jack Penate respects the fact that their fans love their previous albums, so they go to great effort to incorporate the past hits with the new ones.
