Jackal and Hyde began performing at City, a local club. The group used to practice at the guitarist's garage. Jackal and Hyde began playing together in 1997. The lead singer used to listen to radio constantly as a child.

Jackal and Hyde was discovered after single was played on K98.5. The group's members all had weird jobs while they waited to be noticed. Jackal and Hyde were still a little worried after they released their first album, but were relieved when the release began to get some radio play. The band a huge draw with fan clubs in every city.

Jackal and Hyde accepted the fact that their dream of making a life as musicians had come true after Jessica Natalello started a fan club for the band in 1988.
