There is no new album, but Jimmy Buffett will be singing the hits, including "Margaritaville", "Cheeseburger in Paradise", "Another Saturday Night", and "Hey Good Lookin'". Buffett and the Coral Reefers will be taking on the major cities in the Midwest and East Coast, before the finale brings them to Las Vegas for the final show of the year on October 20, 2012.

Jimmy Buffett History

Jimmy Buffett was born on December 25, 1946 in Pascagoula and raised in Mobile, Alabama. The son of a ship builder and the grandson of a sea captain, he would become one of the most successful live acts in the modern era.

Buffett graduated with a degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and began writing for the Billboard magazine. Jimmy wanted to be written about though, and after failing to succeed as a country act in Nashville, he moved to New Orleans where he played as a street musician.

There he met fellow country singer Jerry Jeff Walker. Walker convinced Buffett to go to Key West with him. The move proved pinnacle to Jimmy's career. There he rediscovered his love of ships and the seas and found his signature sound. The folk, country sound met with the tropical lyrical rhythms to create the album Change in Latitude, Change in Attitude. The album featured the ageless hit "Margaritaville" and launched his Buffett's career.

Although his early albums produced the hits that millions of fans chant today, the record sales rarely went platinum. Instead, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers have continued to have most of their success playing live. Buffett has used his enterprising spirit to turn his music career into a book career, restaurant chain, and a number of other endeavors.
