John Tesh’s members were friends in high school. The guitarist first found his love of music by listening to his aunt's collection of records. The guitarist used to listen to radio constantly as a child. John Tesh began performing at Anyplace, a college dive bar. The band had their friends harass the local radio station to play their song.

John Tesh’s first album was a dud, but the second finally got some attention. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller bars in which they began.

John Tesh finally knew they made it in 1995, as soon as Rebecca Lewis started the group’s first fan club. After playing across the nation, the band’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around Shelbyville to thousands in every city throughout the country.

The group has just completed their most current project, and they are planning the next release already. John Tesh's newest release took one month to produce.
