The bassist used to annoy his grandmother by playing his favorite CD incessantly. Jools Holland’s members grew up together. The band used to practice at the bassist's garage.
Jools Holland were uneasy after releasing the debut release, but were happy when they heard their music on the radio for the first time. The band does not have a problem selling out any venue now, small or large. The years of paying their dues paid off when Jools Holland signed a record deal. The band's members all had odd jobs while they worked hard to be known.
Jools Holland accepted that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act when Kimberly Gibson started the first fan club for the group in 1985. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Ann Arbor, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the band’s website by Susan Phillippe.
Members of Jools Holland hope this tour and the newest release attracts a new audience. The group just completed their most current project, but they are planning the next release already.
