Kaddisfly began singing at the college club Hell's Halo. The drummer use to listen to tape constantly as a teenager. The bassist used to fall asleep with the radioplaying as a child. Kaddisfly began playing together in 1979. The group used to practice at the guitarist's basement.
Kaddisfly were sure they were not going to be a one hit wonder after their single became popular. The band is mobbed by fans at every show. A member of Kaddisfly started dating a girl whose fatherwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. The bandspent years before being signed as an opening act.
Kaddisfly realized that they could really have a career in music after Cynthia Quaid started a fan club for the group in 2000. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Springfield. After the group’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
The most current album from Kaddisfly has taken the band in a brand new direction, incorporating more influences than previous albums. The band is in the beginning of the tour accompanying for their latest release. Kaddisfly intends to take a break after this next tour, allowing the group members to rest.
