Kahiko Group started performing at the college club Guru. One of the group's members used to fall asleep with the radio playing as a child. The members of Kahiko Group met in 1986. The group used to sell their tapes out of their truck at the local record store.

Kahiko Group's most current release is the band's first album in three years. The group just finished their most current project, but they are thinking of what is next to come. After this past hectic year the members of Kahiko Group will take some time off.

Kahiko Group continued to work hard, scared they would just be another one hit wonder. The group no longer has any problem selling out a show. submitted their single to K93.5 and a DJ took a liking to it. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music.
