Kalas Tickets
Kalas began singing at Beach, a college bar. The guitarist was influenced by his father's love of music. The drummer used to fall asleep with a cassette tapeplaying as a kid. The members of Kalas met in middle school. The band used to sell their tapes out of their van at the local music store.
Kalas continued to work hard, scared they would just be another one hit wonder. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues in which they started. Kalas was discovered after their single was heard on Q100.9. The band played for years atdive bars making almost no money.
Kalas accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility when the group’s first fan club was started in 1991 by Margie O'Toole. Starting out in San Diego with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand country wide in under a year.
The group just completed their latest record, but they are thinking of what is to come next. Kalas's new project has been heavily influenced by bands of the 1980s.
The group has a love affair with Seattle so they are sure to stop by and play a show whenever they are touring. Kalas’s tickets for their latest tour are available on TheSeats.com, along with the complete concert schedule and seating charts.
