Kamelot started performing at the local bar Card. The band was influenced by Jerry Lee Lewis. Kamelot’s members grew up together. The drummer use to listen to CD constantly as a teenager.

Even after getting the record deal Kamelot were not sure if they would make it in the end. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues in which they started.
