Kano started singing at Warning, a college club. The drummer use to listen to cassette tapes constantly as a kid. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his mom's record collection. Kano’s members were friends in college. The band used to sell their records out of their van on the street.
Kano see this tour as a chance to expose a new group of fans to their music. The group is in the second leg of the accompanying tour for their newest record.
Generally critics will commend Kano for their playfulness with the crowd at live shows. Norris Jasper, a music critic from Dallas, has always commented on band’s terrific front man. Kano’s most current record has received inspiring praise from Owen Reiner, a music critic out of Austin, and Walt Neilson, from Raleigh.
A member of Kano started dating a girl whose brotherwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. Kano first garnered some national attention with their first single.
Kano knew they had finally made it in 1997, when the band's first fan club was started by Patricia Nassau. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Sacramento, the club grew leaps and bounds after the band’s first national tour.
