Kano started singing at small clubs. The drummer was heavily influenced by his mom's love for music. The guitarist use to listen to music constantly as a teenager. Kano’s members grew up together. The group used to practice at the bassist's house.

After this past hectic year the members of Kano will take a break. The group recently finished their most current release, but they are thinking of what is to come next. The most current record from Kano is the group's first album in seven years.

The years of paying their dues paid off when Kano signed a record deal. The band regularly played at Claw before making it to the big time. Kano signed the record deal, and fully expected that they would last past the first album.

Kano realized that they could really have a career in music after Kathy Brady started a fan club for the group in 1990. After playing from California to New York, the band’s fan club exploded from the handful of fans around Chicago to thousands in every city throughout the country.

Kano is able to please the audience every concert by playing older hits and songs from their new album.
