Karsh Kale began playing together while they were in college. The band used to practice at the lead singer's garage. Karsh Kale started singing at Artist, a college club. The drummer wanted to start a group since he was in grade school.

The group may have just completed their new project, but they are already planning the next release. After this past busy year the members of Karsh Kale will take a break.

Karsh Kale talked to a local DJ from K102.9 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Karsh Kale was signed. The band's members had horrible jobs when they started playing, just biding time until they would hit the big time. The group really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans.

Karsh Kale finally realized they made it after the band’s first fan club was started by Michelle Phillippe in 1989. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Austin, but the creation the group’s website by Sarah Kostner, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
