The members of K.D. Lang grew up together. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his family's collection of records. K.D. Lang began singing at the college bar Hobo. The group used to practice at the bassist's house.

K.D. Lang was discovered after single was played on Z98.9. The band's members all had odd jobs while they worked hard to be known.

K.D. Lang finally knew they made it after the band’s first fan club was started by Debra DiSalvatore in 1985. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the band play at a small club in Concord, the club grew leaps and bounds after the group’s first national tour.

Members of K.D. Lang hope to collaborate with other artists while on this tour. The group recently finished their newest record, but they are thinking of what is next to come. K.D. Lang's new album is a refinement of their well-established sound.
