Killerpilze’s members were friends in college. The group used to sell their records out of their van at local shows. Killerpilze began playing at Cafeteria, a local bar. The lead singer first found his love of music by listening to his sister's record collection.

Killerpilze's newest record has taken the band in a surprisingly new direction, with a heavier sound. The group just completed their latest record, but they are already planning the next release. Killerpilze will take a break after the tour, to allow the band members to work on individual projects.
