Kingston Trio’s members met in grade school. The band used to sell their tapes out of their van at the local record store. Kingston Trio started performing at the college dive bar Beach. The drummer wanted to start a group since he was in middle school.
The years of paying their dues paid off when Kingston Trio signed a record deal. The band regularly played at City before making it to the big time. Kingston Trio were unsure about their music careers with the release of their debut album, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio. The group no longer has any problem selling out a show.
accepted that they had made it in 1979, after Shirley Ernst started the group’s first fan club. Starting out with just a few dozen members in San Francisco, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Deborah Vanderhoff.
The most current release from Kingston Trio took just three months to put together. The band is in the start of the promotional tour for their newest release. Kingston Trio's members see this tour as a chance to expose another audience to their music.
