The band of California Kottonmouth Kings is a rap music band. The band is fourteen years old and originated in 1994. The band had Johnny Richter, D-Loc and Brad X. The two Irish folks residing in Placentia of California spent time with one another from the tender age of eight. Daddy-X was a pal of one of the friend of D-Loc. After knowing each other they started spending time together, enjoyed themselves in clubs and often at parties in the house of Daddy –X.

Previously being a member of Humble Gods and performed in rap programs like Eazy E, Daddy- X already possessed some experience of the music business. Knowing this the two fellows met him much often and started to spend more time with him regularly. To the surprise of D-Loc and Daddy-W their friend Richter started to sing rap which they heard on radio. He sang the track of LL Cool J titled Hey Lover. When Richter sang with perfection Daddy X was determined to tape some songs which they would present in small places like pubs, bars and clubs in their locality. Later he started singing the tracks from the legendary rock bands with his best tracks from Led Zeppelin.

The name which they gave to their band at the beginning was P-Town Ballers or PTB being influenced by the name of their basketball group where they played. They added Saint Dog mainly for the live concerts. They did not get a very good audience support in the concerts especially when they were performiong on bum rock tracks. The name of the band was transformed to Kottonmouth Kings after Johny Ritcher left the group. He was present when the Demo tape of PTB was being taped but had to leave the group as a warrant was issued against him on account of delivering a plant marijuana and desired to get out of that problem. After the passing of some years he came back to the group in the place of Saint Dog and recorded the album titled High Society album. Later he again parted from the band when with DGAF of South Bay and brother Hoss decided to venture something new solely.

Johnny Richter also with his friends had also added scores in many films apart from singing in concerts. The antiestablishment film producer Zach Yoshioka had an agreement with Suburban Noize to make a trip named Fire It Up for the making of a DVD titled 10Years Deep DVD which is also popular as the melodies of Kottonmouth Kings. Album titled Donsworld had track The Three Angles Sent to Earth performed by D-Loc , Daddy X and Johny Richter. The DVD of the tracks in the album The Joint is on Fire was made by Yoshioka in the year 2006.
