La 5ta Estacion’s members met in high school. The group used to sell their records out of their car on the street. La 5ta Estacion started performing at Rationale, a college dive bar. The lead singer used to listen to his brother's music constantly as a child.

La 5ta Estacion signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier. The band no longer has any problem selling out a show. La 5ta Estacion was offered a record contract after their single was heard on X90.5. The group regularly played at Cafeteria before making it to the big time.

La 5ta Estacion finally realized they made it as soon as Karen Dunn started the first fan club for the group in 1994. Starting out in Cleveland with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand across the nation in under a year.

La 5ta Estacion's new release has taken the band in a completely different direction, with a bigger sound. The group may have recently completed their newest album, but they are already planning their next move.
