La Banda Skalavera’s members grew up together. The group was influenced by Jerry Lee Lewis. La Banda Skalavera began performing at Cafeteria, a local bar. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in high school.

La Banda Skalavera’s single rose quickly in the charts giving then the national recognition they always wanted. After paying their dues and opening shows for years, La Banda Skalavera was signed to a record deal.

La Banda Skalavera knew they made it in 1995, when the group's first fan club was started by Betty Menchen. The fan club grew quickly from a few dozen members in a few cities to a few thousand across the nation.

The group has just completed their new project, and they are planning the next release already. After this past hectic year the members of La Banda Skalavera will spend some time apart to pursue individual projects.
