La Ventana began playing together while they were in grade school. The guitarist first found his love of music by listening to his father's music collection. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his family. La Ventana started playing at City, a college dive bar. The band used to sell their records out of their truck at the local record store.

La Ventana was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Q93.9. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their album. La Ventanawere tentative after releasing their debut single, but were more than relieved when they started hearing their music on the radio.

La Ventana finally knew they made it in 1979, as soon as Kim Judge started the band’s first fan club. The band embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Michelle Brady and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.

Members of La Ventana hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever. The band may have just completed their latest album, but they are already thinking of their next move. The new record from La Ventana took months to produce.

Critics have often commended La Ventana for their ability to energize the audience during live performances.
