Ladybug Transistor began playing together while they were in college. The bassist was influenced by his mom's love of music. The bassist used to listen to radio constantly as a child. Ladybug Transistor began performing at the college club Dispatch. The band kept requesting that the local radio station to play their songs.
Ladybug Transistor was discovered while playing at at Guy, a local club. The bandyears opening for bands at dive bars. The group plays almost every night of the week as the they tour America.
Ladybug Transistor realized that they were truly working musicians as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Lizzie Nassau in 2000. The group embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the group’s own website by Lizzie Piper and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
Ladybug Transistor will take a break after the tour, allowing the group members to work on individual projects. The band is in the beginning of the tour promoting for their newest album. Ladybug Transistor's new album only took a few weeks to create.
