Lagwagon began performing at the local bar Bandit. The group was influenced by Hank Williams. The members of Lagwagon met in 1997. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his grade school teacher.
The latest record is 's first record since the band broke up seven years ago. The band is in the midst of the tour promoting for their new album. Lagwagon will take a break after this next tour, allowing the band members to work on side projects.
