Larocca began performing at Dormitory, a college dive bar. The lead singer discovered his love of music while listening to his family's collection of records. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in grade school. The members of Larocca grew up together. The group used to practice at the lead singer's house.

Larocca was discovered after their single was heard on X103.1. The band regularly played at Guy before making it to the big time. The band does not have a problem selling out any venue now, small or large.
