The group may have recently finished their newest release, but they are planning the next release already. Members of Lee Ann Womack hope to team up with other artists while they are on this tour.
Even after getting the record deal Lee Ann Womack were not sure if they would make it in the end. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they started. Lee Ann Womack was offered a record contract after their single was heard on Z94.1. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music.
Lee Ann Womack knew that they were truly working musicians in 1987, as soon as Melissa Colangelo started the group’s first fan club. Starting out in Washington, D.C. with a few dozen members, the club grew fast, eclipsing a couple thousand all across the country in under a year.
