The members of M. Cooney met in middle school. One of the group's members was heavily influenced by his dad's love of music. M. Cooney began singing at Boss, a college bar. The band had their friends call into the local radio station to play their first single.

The years of paying their dues paid off when M. Cooney signed a record deal. The band played for little to no money at first and was just happy to be given a chance to be heard.

M. Cooney's new album took twelve months to put together. The group has just completed their latest project, and they are planning the next release already. After this last hectic year the members of M. Cooney will take some time off.
