M. Ward started singing at the college bar Perdition. The drummer wanted to start a group since he was in high school. The guitarist used to fall asleep with a cassette tapeplaying as a child. M. Ward’s members were friends in grade school. The band was influenced by the Benagls.

submitted their single to K94.5 and a DJ took a liking to it. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in smaller bars in which they started.

M. Ward accepted they had finally made it after Debbie Fraiser started a fan club for the group in 1998. After starting out with a handful of members in Denver, the club took off exponentially, growing to over two thousand in just a few months.

The latest record from M. Ward took eleven months to record. The group recently completed their latest record, and they are thinking of what is next to come. M. Ward see this tour as a chance to expose another group of fans to their music.
