Maddam Ink Tickets
The members of Maddam Ink met in middle school. The lead singer used to annoy his grandmother by playing his favorite CD at all hours of the night. Maddam Ink started singing at Demonstrator, a local club. The group had their friends call into the local radio station to play their tracks.
The band is in the second leg of the promotional tour for their most current record. Maddam Ink's new album is the group's first album in nine years.
Generally, critics commend Maddam Ink for their playfulness with the audience during live performances. A music critic from Orlando, Rick Yeubanks, has always praised band’s amazing stage presence. Maddam Ink’s most current project is receiving terrific reviews from all the critics, including Russ Yeubanks, who first saw the band sing in Raleigh.
After the single hit the airwaves and blew up, Maddam Ink were still afraid they’d be a one hit wonder. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues in which they started. Maddam Ink met with a local DJ from Q98.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the band. The band members were ecstatic once they were signed and quit their odd jobs that had supported them while they worked toward their dreams.
Maddam Ink knew they made it when the group’s first fan club was started in 2000 by Dorothy Wilmouth. The club started out in Philadelphia with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
Every time the band comes to Portland they are sure to stop at Ruler and play a show. TheSeats.com has all the tour information a fan needs in one place, including Maddam Ink tickets, concert seating charts, and complete tour schedules.
