The members of Maggot Twat were friends in high school. The band had their friends call into the local radio station to play their first single. Maggot Twat began singing at the college bar Guy. The bassist used to annoy his brother by playing his favorite tape at all hours of the night.

The new album from Maggot Twat is a refinement of their original sound. The band recently finished their newest album, but they are already planning their next move. Maggot Twat hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever.

Maggot Twat talked to a local music director from Q89.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Maggot Twat was signed. Maggot Twatwere tentative after releasing their first album, but were more than relieved when they started hearing their music on the radio.

Maggot Twat realized that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true in 1998, after Jennifer Ullmann started the group’s first fan club. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Springfield, but the creation the band’s website by Jessica Menchen, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.
