The members of Magik Markers met in grade school. The bassist first found his love of music by listening to his aunt's collection of records. The lead singer use to listen to cassette tapes constantly as a teenager. Magik Markers started singing at the local dive bar Giant. The band used to sell their records out of their car at local shows.
