Maxwell’s members met in middle school. The group used to practice at a group member’s house. Maxwell began playing at Adult, a college club. One of the group's members used to annoy his brother by playing his favorite CD constantly.

The band is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their most current release. Maxwell hope to collaborate with other artists during the tour.

Maxwell’s first album did not do so well, but the second album was a hit, going gold. The groupplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began. Maxwell was discovered after their single was heard on X93.5. The groupstarted headlining shows as soon as they started playing together.
