Mew is a Danish indie rock band that first met in seventh grade in Hellerup, Denmark. The band collaborated before to form a band named Orange Dog, but failed to impress people. The band again came together in their late teens to collaborate as Mew. With inspirations from My Bloody Valentine, the Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., the Pet Shop Boys, and Prince, the band impressed innumerable crowds with their first concert. That is how they convinced and achieved their debut album. Currently residing for a brief stint in London, their music is occasionally recognized as occasion progressive rock. The band refers their music as "pretentious art rock" and the lead guitarist Bo regards their sound as "the world's only indie stadium band". The group is the best representative of Danish music and they quickly became a huge success after their collaboration in 2003. Tickets for their concerts are sold out in no time.

Awarded as "Album of the Year" and "Band of the Year", the band produces music that one cannot stop playing over and over again. This foursome from Denmark has been ruling the music scene since ‘95 and has impressed many music lovers with their chilling and airy tones. Their debut album named A Triumph for Man was released in 1997 and was critically acclaimed as one of the greatest albums. Their live performances have background animations created by Bjerre. Their sophomore album named Half the World Is Watching Me, was released under their own label named Evil Office. Soon the album scored an international deal with Sony. The band re-recorded their best work for a worldwide release. Their third album named Frengers was released in 2003. The band soon ruled with their expansive pop dramatics and a blend of shimmering atmospheric sound that were displayed clearly on their Fourth release that was named And the Glass Handed Kites. The album was released in the US in July 2006. Mew continued with their touring and attracted wide audiences with their distinguishing sounds. Their collaborative efforts includes A Triumph for Man released in 1997 and re-released in 2006, Half the World Is Watching Me in 2000, Frengers released in 2003, And the Glass Handed Kites released in 2005 and Half The World Is Watching Me re-issued on August 7 2007.
