Millencolin began playing together in 1988. The drummer was influenced by his dad's love of music. Millencolin started singing at Anyplace, a local dive bar. The group requested that the local radio station to play their single.

Millencolin’s single climbed the charts quickly, giving them national exposure. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their record.

Millencolin realized that they were truly working musicians after the group’s first fan club was started in 1990 by Kimberly Gitlewski. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in Omaha, the club grew leaps and bounds after the group’s first national tour.

The latest project from Millencolin took eleven months to produce. The group is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their latest project. After this last hectic year the members of Millencolin will take some time off to rest.
