Moe started performing at Governor, a local bar. The group used to practice at the drummer's basement. The members of Moe met in 1976. The drummer discovered his love of music while listening to his mother's music collection.

Moe were unsure about their music careers with the release of their debut release, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began. Moe was discovered after single was played on Z101.5. The band regularly played at Desperado before making it to the big time.

Moe knew that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act as soon as the group’s first fan club was started in 1979 by Barbara DeCambra. While the club started out small after the organizer heard the group play at a small club in San Francisco, the club grew leaps and bounds after the group’s first national tour.

The new release is 's first project since the band broke up eight years ago. The band is in the first leg of the promotional tour for their latest project. After this last hectic year the members of Moe will take some time off.

Moe is able to please the audience every performance by playing older hits and songs from their latest project. The group loves playing in Albany because they played their first sold out show there.
