M.t.t. began playing together in 1992. The guitarist first found his love of music by listening to his father's collection of records. M.t.t. started playing at Academic, a college bar. The band used to practice at the guitarist's basement.

M.t.t. always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began. M.t.t. was discovered after their single was heard on Q92.9. The band's members all had weird jobs while they waited to be noticed.

M.t.t.'s most current album is the band's first since the band members went to work on independent projects four years ago. The group may have just finished their most current release, but they are already plotting the next move. After this past non-stop year the members of M.t.t. will take a break.
