Nammys started playing at Anyplace, a college club. The Animals heavily influenced the early work of the band. Nammys’s members grew up together. The lead singer wanted to start a band since he was in middle school.

Nammys’s single climbed the charts quickly, giving them national exposure. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues which they began.

Nammys realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility when Cynthia Bierlein started the first fan club for the band in 1996.
