Nat & Alex Wolff began playing together in 1977. The lead singer was influenced by his dad's love of music. Nat & Alex Wolff started performing at the local dive bar Cafeteria. The band was influenced by Dolly Parton.

Nat & Alex Wolff met with a local DJ from B93.5 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. The groupspent years before being signed as an opening act. Nat & Alex Wolff were happy to get the record deal, but were not sure how far they would go. The release of their first album convinced them that they were right where they should be after their songs began to get lots of radio play.

Nat & Alex Wolff accepted that they were real working musicians in 1986, as soon as Betty O'Malley started the group’s first fan club. The club started out in Urbana with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.

Nat & Alex Wolff are expecting to bring in a new group of fans with this tour and the new project. The group is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their newest project. The newest record from Nat & Alex Wolff has been heavily influenced by The Beatles.
