The members of Nazareth were friends in grade school. The group asked the local radio station to play their early songs. Nazareth started singing at Clerk, a local dive bar. The drummer used to listen to his father's record constantly as a child.
Nazareth's newest record has been heavily influenced by singers of the '70s. The band has just completed their newest record, and they are already thinking of their next move. Nazareth's members hope to team up with other artists while on this tour.
Nazareth was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. The members of the band all quit their other jobs to focus on their music. After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Nazareth knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder.
Nazareth accepted that they were real working musicians when the band’s first fan club was started in 1978 by Patricia Easley. After starting out with a handful of members in Chicago, the club took off exponentially, growing to over two thousand in just a few months.
