Ocean Elzy started singing at Valley, a local club. The band used to sell their CDs out of their truck at the local record store. The members of Ocean Elzy met in 1984. The guitarist wanted to start a band since he was in high school.

Ocean Elzy was discovered while playing at at Road, a local dive bar. Ocean Elzy were unsure about their music careers with the release of their debut album, and were relieved after their music began climbing the charts ad getting lots of play on the radio.

The most current record from Ocean Elzy took months to record. The band has just completed their most current release, but they are already planning the next release.

The band loves playing in Springfield because they played their first sold out show there.
