Octopus Project’s members were friends in college. The band had their friends call into the local radio station to play their track. Octopus Project started performing in festivals. The lead singer used to listen to radio constantly as a kid.
Octopus Project’s single rose quickly in the charts giving then the national recognition they always wanted. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began. After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Octopus Project was signed to a record deal. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their album.
Octopus Project's most current project is the band's seventh project. The band has just completed their newest record, but they are already plotting the next move. After this past non-stop year the members of Octopus Project will take a break to rest after a long tour.
Often times, critics have praised Octopus Project for their playfulness with the audience during concerts. Sam McCarther, a music critic from Dallas, has always been enamored with group’s incredible vocals. Octopus Project’s most current record has received amazing praise from all the critics, including Warren Slatter, who first saw the band perform in St. Louis.
