Oh The Story began singing at the college club Dancer. The guitarist wanted to start a group since he was in grade school. The bassist use to listen to records constantly as a child. Oh The Story’s members grew up together. Robert Johnson heavily influenced the early work of the group.
Oh The Story plans to take a break after the tour, to allow the band members to rest. The group is in the middle of the promotional tour for their most current project. The new album from Oh The Story has taken the group in a new direction, with a more complex musical structure.
The years of paying their dues paid off when Oh The Story signed a record deal. The band members were ecstatic to have the opportunity to make an album and quit their day jobs that supported them while they worked hard at night to make their dreams happen.
Oh The Story knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true when Karen Klinger started the first fan club for the band in 1996. The band embraced the small fan club and with the launching of the band’s own website by Debbie Parquette and a well marketed national tour the club quickly grew to a few thousand.
