Ohio began singing at the college dive bar Cafeteria. The drummer was encouraged to play by his favorite teacher. The bassist first found his love of music by listening to his uncle's music collection. The members of Ohio met in 2000. The group was influenced by music of the '60s.
Ohio's newest record took just two months to record. The band has just completed their latest record, but they are planning the next release already. Ohio plans to take some time off after this next tour, allowing the group members to recharge after a long tour.
Ohio met with a local DJ from X91.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. Ohio were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything.
