Old School Funk Fest Tickets
Old School Funk Fest’s members met in 1995. The bassistdiscovered his love of music by listening to his uncle's collection of records. The drummer was heavily influenced by his grandfather's love for music. Old School Funk Fest started singing at Lesion, a college club. The group asked the local radio station to play their early songs.
Old School Funk Fest signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they began.
Old School Funk Fest accepted that they were truly working musicians in 1992, after the band's first fan club was started by Kim Colangelo. The club started out in Urbana with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.
After this last hectic year the members of Old School Funk Fest will spend some time apart. The group is in the midst of the tour promoting for their new record. The newest record from Old School Funk Fest is the band's first album in two years.
