Paul Weller may be well-known in Britain, but in the United States he is only known to those who fell in love with the Britpop invasion during the ‘90s. The former lead singer of the UK standouts The Jam and The Style Council was celebrated for his songwriting ability already in England and groups like Blur and Oasis were only too happy to have him play a track or two with them.

The Modfather began solo work in 1991 and toured the world with the rest of the Britpop heavy hitters, but his lyrics, which focused very much on his home nation, did not find the overwhelming acclaim of groups like Oasis. He did manage to attract a few fans along the way. Those fans know how rare it is to be able to see the Mod Rock, Soul singing genius out of his natural element and will rush to get tickets whenever his tour schedule take the concerts to another continent.
