Shore originally born as Paul Montgomery Shore in Hollywood at California, was the son of the legendary Sammy Shore, a well-known comedian and Mitzi Shore, the founder of the Los Angeles club, called The Comedy Store. Shore’s career in acting started with minor roles in several late movies of the 1980s but a major turn came in his slow paced career with a big break when he started hosting on MTV, with Jeff Leiber from the year 1989- 1994. Later on Pauly started his own show, entitled Totally Pauly as well as served as a traveling ambassador, on MTV's annual Spring Break parties. The most memorable fact about the show at his first Spring Break gig was his use of the catchphrase, "weasel." which really allured all the audience. The College Music Journalists as the Best Comedy Album garnered his first comedy album in the year 1991 “The Future of America”. The album’s success paved the way for Shore's subsequent releases, like “Scraps from the Future” as well as Pink Diggly Diggly.

The comedy king also played some small roles in the movie Cape Fear, a 1991 film. His next film, Encino Man in the year 1992 was not a much appreciated one and achieved a Golden Raspberry Award for his acting talent but was not at all focused as compared to his MTV persona. His movie like “Son In Law” gained such an endurable success that it was nominated for an MTV Movie Award. In 2005 Shore was on a reality show named TBS titled Minding the Store. He was also in numerous music videos but only in guest appearances including Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff.
