Peaches’s members met in college. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his mother's music collection. Peaches began performing at Ice, a college dive bar. The band used to sell their tapes out of their van at local shows.

Peaches was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Z96.9. The band's members all had odd jobs while they worked hard to be known.

Peaches realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act when the group’s first fan club was started by Deborah Felson in 1983. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.

The group has just finished their new release, but they are already planning the next release. Peaches's latest release is the group's first since the group members went to work on independent projects seven years ago.
