Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam is an American rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band members were: Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Mike McCready (lead guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar) and Jeff Ament (bass). Since 1998 the former drummer of Soundgarden, Matt Cameron is Pearl Jam's current drummer. Pearl Jam was one of the most popular bands of the rock/grunge music era in the early 1990s. They recorded their debut album “Ten” with Seattle's London Bridge Studios in March 1991 and it was released on August 27, 1991. Pearl Jam became a key member of the Seattle grunge explosion with the success of “Ten” and on October 19, 1993 released their second album “Vs”.

On its first week of release they sold a record 950,378 copies and outperformed all other entries in the Billboard top ten that week combined. “Vitalogy” was Pearl Jam’s third album and it was released first on November 22, 1994 on vinyl and then two weeks later on CD and cassette. With more than 877,000 units sold in its first week, the CD became the second-fastest-selling in history. In February 2006 Pearl Jam signed with JRecords, which is part of the Sony BMG group and their eighth studio album, “Pearl Jam”, was released on May 2, 2006. Since its inception, the band has sold 30 million records in the U.S. and an estimated 60 million albums worldwide
