Perpetual Groove began playing at the college dive bar Beach. The group harassed the local radio station to play their first release. Perpetual Groove’s members were friends in grade school. The bassist discovered his love of music while listening to his family's music collection.

Perpetual Groove's newest album has taken the group in a brand new direction, with a softer edge. The group may have recently completed their new record, but they are thinking of what is next to come. Perpetual Groove intends to take a break after the tour, to allow the band members to rest.

Perpetual Groove were relieved when their single climbed the charts. They had heard too many stories of bands with record deals going nowhere. The group continues to play large venues, but still enjoys performing in smaller clubs on occasion. submitted their single to X94.5 and a DJ took a liking to it. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music.
