Quanta began playing at the local club Dancer. Kiss heavily influenced the early work of the group. Quanta’s members were friends in high school. The guitaristdiscovered his love of music by listening to his dad's record collection.

Quanta knew that they were truly working musicians when Jennifer Baca started a fan club for the group in 1979. The fan club started out small with just a handful of members, generally localized to the area around Dallas, but the creation the group’s website by Pam Gremillion, along with the first real national marketing campaign, saw the membership to grow into the thousands.

The band has a love affair with Concord so they are sure to stop by and play a show whenever they are touring.
